Technical Standards for Calcium Hydroxide Equipment Operation

Author:

To ensure the efficient and safe operation of calcium hydroxide equipment, each operator must strictly adhere to standardized operating procedures to avoid operational errors that may lead to decreased efficiency or safety hazards. The following key operating steps require special attention:
1. Equipment Installation and Securing: Calcium hydroxide equipment must be installed according to the specified installation procedures on a stable base. Before starting, use wooden wedges or braking devices to secure the wheels to prevent equipment movement. In environments with multiple equipment operating in parallel, a safety passage of at least one meter must be maintained between equipment and between equipment and walls to facilitate personnel passage and emergency evacuation.
2. Safety Inspection and Preparation: Before operation, thoroughly inspect the integrity of all operating parts, fasteners, and rolling bearings, and ensure that safety protection devices are complete and effective. At the same time, adjust the belt tension to an appropriate state to prepare for equipment startup.
3. No-load Test Run: The calcium hydroxide equipment should first be run without a load. Only after confirming stable and normal operation can materials be fed. It is strictly forbidden to start the equipment directly after feeding materials.
4. Startup Sequence: For multiple equipment operating in series, start from the discharge end and start in sequence to ensure that each equipment operates in coordination and stability before feeding.
5. Belt Deviation Handling: If belt deviation is found during operation, stop the machine immediately and adjust it to avoid forced operation causing belt edge wear and increased load.
6. Working Environment and Material Requirements: The operating environment temperature should be controlled above -50℃ and not lower than -10℃. It is strictly forbidden to convey materials containing strong acids, strong alkalis, oils, and organic solvents.
7. Personnel Safety: When the equipment is running, it is strictly forbidden to stand or carry passengers on the conveyor belt to ensure personnel safety.
8. Shutdown Operation: Before shutting down, stop feeding first, and only after the materials are completely unloaded can the equipment be shut down.
9. Electrical Safety: The motor of the calcium hydroxide equipment should maintain good insulation, and it is forbidden to drag the cable to ensure that the motor is reliably grounded to prevent electrical accidents.
10. Belt Adjustment Prohibition: When the belt deviates, it is strictly forbidden to pull the belt directly by hand to prevent accidents.

Application of High-Specific-Surface-Area Calcium Hydroxide in Flue-Gas Desulfurization for Industrial Kilns in the Chemical Industry

In the chemical industry, flue gases from various reaction kilns and heating furnaces are highly complex; in addition to sulfides, they often contain small amounts of acidic organic compounds. These flue gases are highly corrosive, and conventional desulfurization agents exhibit limited reactivity and poor corrosion resistance, resulting in only modest treatment performance. High‑specific‑surface‑area calcium hydroxide can achieve simultaneous desulfurization and deacidification, making it well suited to the complex flue‑gas conditions encountered in chemical processes.

Application of High-Specific-Surface-Area Calcium Hydroxide in Flue Gas Desulfurization in the Refractory Materials Industry

Refractory‑material tunnel kilns and shuttle kilns operate at high temperatures and produce uneven flue‑gas emissions; their intermittent operation further causes significant fluctuations in sulfur content, placing extremely stringent demands on the desulfurizing agent’s instantaneous reaction kinetics and operational adaptability. High‑specific‑surface‑area calcium hydroxide, with its high reactivity and rapid response, is well suited to meet the desulfurization requirements of the refractory industry’s batch‑type production processes.

Application of High-Specific-Surface Calcium Hydroxide in Flue Gas Desulfurization in the Industrial Silicon Industry

The flue gas from industrial silicon smelting furnaces is characterized by high temperatures, extremely high dust concentrations, and abundant sulfide‑containing impurities, resulting in harsh operating conditions. Conventional desulfurization agents are prone to failure, leading to poor desulfurization stability—making this a significant challenge in industrial flue‑gas treatment. High‑specific‑surface‑area calcium hydroxide, with its strong adaptability and excellent penetration, is ideally suited to the desulfurization of flue gases generated during industrial silicon smelting.

Application of High-Specific-Surface-Area Calcium Hydroxide in Flue-Gas Desulfurization in the Ceramic Industry

Ceramic tunnel kilns and roller hearth kilns experience frequent flue gas temperature fluctuations, high dust concentrations, and uneven sulfur content. Moreover, production facilities demand stringent environmental cleanliness, while conventional desulfurization methods often generate wastewater and water mist, compromising ceramic product quality. The high‑specific‑surface‑area calcium hydroxide dry‑process desulfurization technology is well suited to the operational conditions and environmental requirements of the ceramics industry.

Application of High-Specific-Surface Calcium Hydroxide in Flue Gas Desulfurization in the Glass Industry

Glass kilns typically use heavy oil and natural gas as fuels, producing flue gases with unique sulfur content, high temperatures, and stable flow rates. Conventional desulfurization processes often suffer from incomplete removal of sulfur compounds, equipment fouling, and excessive energy consumption. High‑specific‑surface‑area calcium hydroxide is specifically tailored to the characteristics of glass‑kiln flue gases, enabling efficient, low‑cost desulfurization.
